News Bits: 7/15/11 Edition

In the photo above you have Gregory Goyle (Josh Herdman), Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), and Blaise Zabini (Louis Cordice).

SPOILER ALERT: This is a shot of the fight in the Room of Requirement. Zabini replaces Vincent Crabbe (Jamie Waylett) as the actor was sentenced to 120 hours of community service for drug possession. Waylett and Herdman have had their run ins with the law – let’s hope this whole “life imitating art” thing doesn’t last for very long. END SPOILER

I’m OK with the change in characters for particular scenes – especially because in this case, it’s a bit out of the producers’ and director’s control. Also – have I ever said how much I loved Draco in his all black suits? I mean, he looks FINE! But the whole holding hands thing? I actually kinda find it so weirdly funny.

  • Above is a photo of the new After School album covers. The girl group is splitting into 2 sub units – After School Red and After School Blue. The “Red” girls include Kahi, Jung Ah, Uee, and Nana. The “Blue” girls are Juyeon, Raina, Lizzy, and E-Young. The groups were determined through fan votes.
  • After the sex/secret child/divorce scandal with his wife Maria Shriver, Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to make his entertainment comeback through director Kim Jee Won‘s film, “The Last Stand.” Kim Jee Won had previously directed “The Good, The Bad, The Weird.” Schwarzenegger had pulled out initially because of his sex scandal, but he’s back on track with it. He will play a former LAPD officer who goes rogue and chases a drug cartel in Mexico.
  • Congratulations to drama Smile Youit is officially the first Korean drama to be remade in India! I wonder how that would work out. Would it be full of Bollywood, dancing sequences? Would we see the Indian Lee Min Jung shimmying her way into Indian Jung Kyung Ho‘s heart? That has got to be one heck of a show to watch! I rarely have faith in remakes anyways – and I don’t think it’ll be that great – but I do wonder how awesome it will be to see everyone dancing and singing.
  • A couple days ago, actress Lee Hye Young (Queen of Housewives, Dal Ja’s Spring) flew to Hawaii to get married! She met her husband, who works in finance, two years ago. They will be married on July 19, and then go on their one week honeymoon before flying back to Korea. I just saw her in 2 Days 1 Night, and she’s actually one of my favorite actresses there. She’s smart and quick; Kim Ha Neul is so fun to see (and so pretty!); Choi Ji Woo seems so pleasantly vacuous; Seo Woo is so adorable because she always looks lost and doesn’t know what she should do; Yum Jung Ah is the only one that seems like a diva, and yet I feel like it’s just her saying, “I’m older and a mom! You can’t do this to me!”; Kim Su Mi is the awesomest elderly person on the show because she’s so game! Anyways, congrats to Lee Hye Young – I’m glad she didn’t follow the footsteps of her character in Dal Ja’s Spring. She played that role so convincingly that I really thought she was that kind of person.
