Ha Ji Won’s upcoming historical drama Empress Ki is about to premiere, beginning on October 28 on MBC. She, Ji Chang Wook, Joo Jin Mo, and Baek Jin Hee were all present at the press conference held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul.
Just as a refresher, Ha Ji Won plays the titular role of Empress Ki, a Goryeo princess who travels to Yuan to become consort to Emperor Huizong (Ji Chang Wook). Joo is King Chunghye of Goryeo, and he looks to remain in character by grimacing in every single photo. Baek Jin Hee is Tanasili, rival to Empress Ki and the one arranged to marry Huizong for political reasons.
Ha looks every bit the regal queen with her dress and stylized ruffle skirt. She made Baek Jin Hee look underdressed for the event, although I have to admit that Baek’s outfit would be more appropriate for a romantic comedy’s press conference than a historical drama’s. Ji Chang Wook reminds me of No Min Woo with that hair, and Joo Jin Mo… is just scowl-y.
Look at those calf muscles… Dayum…
