Yesterday was 11/11 – Pepero Day! Also known as Happy Singles’ Day and lots of sales were happening. Also known as Veteran’s Day, and also Happy Diwali. Lots of things yesterday – but most importantly I hope everyone had some Pepero! And now on to the news…

  • Anyone expecting Descendants of the Sun for this year? Guess what, it’s next year. I think deep down we all knew that, but they just had to confirm it in the news that it’s following the currently airing The Merchant: Gaekju 2015, and will air in early February 2016. [link]

  • Posters and trailers of Lee Hong Ki’s solo mini album have been released, and while the teasers don’t show much other than the name of his mini album (‘FM302′), the posters hint at Park Shin Hye’s presence. In fact I’m guessing that the hand that adjusts the FM button on the radio is supposed to be hers. Intriguing, mysterious, foreboding… [link]

  • Lee Ji Ah returned to the TV screen after a year in a 2-episode miniseries on SBS called Snow Lotus. A fantasy romance, she stars alongside Ji Jin Hee, Seo Ji Hye, and Ahn Jae Hyun sporting a whole new look: short locks and menswear. [link]
  • Sung Joon and Yeo Jin Goo are up for a movie called Shadow of Yesterday. It looks like they’re going to have some bromance going on, but not much is revealed about the plot. It’s in the shadows… *badum-tss* [link]

  • Expectations are high for Yoo Seung Ho’s first film out of the military called The Magician. Also starring Go Ara, Jo Yoon Hee, Kwak Do Won, Son Byung Ho, and Lee Kyung Young the film follows a princess (played by Go) who travels to Qing (China) for marriage and meets a magician on the way. The film is going out in December, meaning there is going to be an overload of Yoo Seung Ho for the rest of this year (Imaginary Cat, Remember, and the upcoming film Kim Sun Dal.) Just look at that flowing hair though. [link]
  • Lee Joon Ki is also very busy. Now that he’s wrapped his shooting for Resident Evil he’s confirmed for a Korean drama remake of the Chinese drama Bu Bu Jing Xin, aka Scarlet Heart. The original Chinese drama was about a 21st Century girl who gets sent back to Qing Dynasty era following an accident. She becomes involved with the princes of the reigning emperor and does her best to survive in the tumultuous times. She dies in the past, but wakes up in present-day from her coma. She doesn’t end up changing history at all, but finds herself remembering bits and pieces of the past as if she really were there. Of course for the remake the situations will be changed to reflect Korea’s own dynasties. Kang Ha Neul is also in discussion to appear, and director Kim Kyu Tae (It’s Okay That’s Love, That Winter the Wind Blows) is set to direct. Lee seriously can’t get away from those historicals! [link]
